We have had the honour of welcoming Robert for his exhibition of 'Odyssey' in the city of Nürtingen (sw Germany) in 2015. We are greatly saddened by this news. Everyone in our community initiative (Gedenkinitiative Nürtingen) is sending their heartfelt condolences. Meeting Robert, experiencing his art and his unique perspective was important for me and for many others. One of Robert's odyssey figures remains in our town and travels from school to school. It represents a local boy who died in the Porajmos. At the same time the carving will always stand for Robert's impact on or community. Our community work continues and we have to thank Robert for his inspiration.
